Following the death of her partner Liam Payne, Kate Cassidy speaks out

The late One Direction singer Liam Payne's girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, is speaking out on his passing.

She started a statement she posted on her Instagram account on Friday by saying, "Thank you for all of the kind words and love that has been sent my way."

"I've been completely lost," she went on. "The last three days have felt surreal in every way. I beseech and beg that you will grant me the serenity and privacy I need to go through this."

Liam Payne is remembered by One Direction, who says, "We will miss him terribly."

Then she said, "My angel, Liam." Everything is you. I want you to know how much and without conditions I loved you."
"I will keep on cherishing you until the end of my life," she said.  "I love you Liam."
According to state police, Payne passed away on October 16 at the age of 31 after falling from the third story of his Argentine hotel room. Payne was pronounced dead at the spot after his body was discovered in the hotel's inner garden.

Payne and Cassidy had been connected since 2022. At the London Fashion Awards in December 2022, they made their official red carpet debut.
Throughout their relationship, Cassidy posted pictures of herself and Payne together on social media on a regular basis. She posted a TikTok video explaining how they met. posted in September.
In the video, Cassidy talked about how she met Payne in Charleston, South Carolina, while working at a pub. According to Cassidy, Payne and he went to lunch and bowled together in Charleston following their first meeting. "Everything happens for a reason," she remarked at the conclusion of the video, adding that "he ended up staying in Charleston for three days beyond his original flight."
