Dana White offers Jon Jones a split the difference for wanted Alex Pereira battle

UFC President Dana White has shifted his perspective on booking Jon Jones versus Alex Pereira - sort of. Jones (27-1 MMA, 21-1 UFC) has guaranteed before Saturday's heavyweight title guard against Stipe Miocic (20-4 MMA, 14-4 UFC) at UFC 309 that, if he fruitful, he won't bind together belts with break champion Tom Aspinall.

Rather he needs ruling light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira, who he said is the main matchup that would keep him from retirement. White as of now has voiced his consternation for those remarks, saying he won't make the Jones versus Pereira battle straightaway and "Bones" has the choice to either resign or bind together with Aspinall (15-3 MMA, 8-1 UFC). He remains behind that, however thinks there is a trade off that could be made to fulfill all interested parties. "Clearly a person like Jon Jones has had a profession where, in the event that he needs something we would make it happen," White said on The Pat McAfee Show. "However, you can't simply do a tomfoolery battle and not battle the break heavyweight champion, the person who is straightaway - since, in such a case that Jon Jones resigned on Saturday, Tom Aspinall would be the heavyweight champion. "Valuable open doors were given to Jon Jones. He was 23, he was the most youthful boss ever. Presently, as he sits where he sits, it's his commitment to give it to the more youthful person to offer him that chance. On the off chance that he beats Tom Aspinall, indeed, I would do the Alex Pereira battle." It is not yet clear in the event that Jones will be available to taking on Aspinall. He said at UFC 309 that the Brit was "a butt hole" and he would rather not work with him.
